Tayside Ileostomy Association

Our branch holds meetings 3 times per year in the Seminar Rooms at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. We hold our AGM in mid-January and then meetings in May and September each year.   At these meetings we usually have a speaker who gives a talk. Over the years we have had a variety of talks from dieticians, stoma nurses, surgeons, local GPs, medical representatives. We usually have at least one representative from a medical company (ie Hollister, Coloplast etc.) at our meetings to allow members to view new products and receive samples.  We also have a raffle and tea/coffee.

Our President is Mr Lavelle-Jones, a consultant in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Mr Lavelle-Jones fully supports our group and attends some of our meetings.

We have a Committee of about 9 members and these include our secretary, chairman and treasurer. We all work very hard in organising these meetings and social events for the group.

Our social events over the last few years have included a ceilidh, bowling night, race night and a fish-tasting demonstration in a local hotel.All these events have been great successes and each year we look for new ideas for social events for the group.

Everyone is welcome and please feel free to bring a friend or family member along with you to our meetings.
